What we use
Strictly necessary — always on
These make the site function. They cannot be switched off and they do not identify you.

If you sign in to the administration area — which is for our own staff, not customers — a session cookie keeps you signed in.
Analytics — off until you accept

We use analytics to learn which guides and product pages are useful, so we can write better ones.
It is configured to anonymise IP addresses, and advertising personalisation is turned off. These cookies do not load at all until you accept them.

What we do not use
We think this list matters more than the one above:
- No advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not follow you around the internet.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No session recording or heatmap tools. We do not watch your screen.
- No third-party data brokers.
- No fingerprinting.

Your choice
When you first visit, a notice asks whether you accept analytics cookies.
- Declining is the default. If you ignore or dismiss the notice, nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set.
- Accepting and declining are equally easy — one click each. There is no hidden settings menu you must dig through to say no.
- You can change your mind at any time from the link in the footer.
Your choice is remembered for six months, after which we will ask again.

Blocking cookies yourself
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies may stop the quote form working, but the rest of the site will read normally.
