NM Plywood — Gold and Premium
Our own-brand plywood, always in stock. NM Gold is full core, full panel — for boards that carry the work. NM Premium is the everyday line for lofts, partitions and dry interiors. The two always appear side by side, so the names never decide for you.
Two ranges, one honest difference
NM Ply is the plywood we own — not a traded brand. Running our own line means there is always NM Ply at the yard, whichever day you arrive.
There are two ranges, and they differ in one thing: core construction.
- NM Gold — full core, full panel. Solid all the way through. Reach for Gold when the board carries the work: shutters, shelves, longer spans.
- NM Premium — core strips with some gaps between them. Made for lofts, partitions and dry non-load-bearing interiors, where full-panel stiffness is not the job.
Read the names carefully. In most markets "premium" means top grade. In this range, Gold is the higher grade and Premium is the everyday line. We would rather tell you plainly than let a name decide your purchase — that is why this page always shows the two side by side.
Thicknesses
Both ranges: 18 mm · 12 mm · 9 mm.
Matching the range to the room
- Kitchen shutters and carcases — Gold. Hinges and drawer slides ask a lot of a board.
- Wardrobe shutters — Gold, for the same reason.
- Wardrobe internals and partitions — Premium does this well.
- Loft and dado — Premium territory.
Not sure which side of the line your project falls on? WhatsApp a photo of the plan — a specialist will mark up which surfaces want Gold and which are happily Premium.
